Growing up, I would attend an annual Hindu Tamil festival called a Ther. I would remember it being an amazing event with thousands of people attending and loud music creating a buzzing atmosphere. It is a special way to connect with both God and the Earth, but the festival is probably very misunderstood. Some things that my video capture may seem unusual which is why I decided to film the video with my interpretations at the end. The images below capture the Toronto Ther Festival in 2015, which was extraordinary. Many cities in the western world host a Ther, such as London. The one my family and I would normally attend takes place in Wimbledon every year but I have to say that the Toronto Ther was nothing like I have ever seen before.
However, I bet nothing can compare to the original festival that takes place throughout Sri Lanka!
